Water breaking, pelvises, placentas, and more! Through my training and my personal interest in birth, I have accumulated knowledge so that you can have a faster, easier, more enjoyable birth experience. Not only can I support you with information about the physical process of birth, but my experience working in hospital, birth center, and homebirth settings will ensure that you are prepared for how things will go in your birthing location.

I completed this twenty-four hour, hands-on training in 2022 and am constantly working towards being the best doula I can be for you, through reading books and studies, completing trainings that add to my tools and skills, and collaborating with other birth workers. I am committed to putting my knowledge and experience into practice to give you a magnificent birthing experience. I am passionate about empowering you and helping you feel fearless and confident for your birth.
This course has equipped me with the knowledge and tools to help you on your nursing journey (should you choose it). I can assist you in making the most out of the "golden hour," promoting successful lactation in weeks to come.
This course gave me all of the facts about TENS in general and how to implement it safely and effectively in my doula practice. TENS has been shown to be an effective pain management technique for labor. An ELLE TENS kit is available for my clients.
I live in Lawrenceburg, KY with my husband and two children. My children are one and eight and they would live at the park if they could. My husband is from Los Angeles originally, but I convinced him to stay here (he says he prefers Kentucky now). We’re down-to-earth, enjoy good food, and like to venture out to different parks and trails when we can.
Prior to 2022, I earned my MA degree in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. After that, I began teaching English and Humanities courses in higher-ed. Eventually, I came to realize it wasn’t my purpose in life, plus the dress shoes made my feet hurt.
I crochet, experiment with new plant-based recipes, make play dough… with two kids, I find myself grocery shopping a lot. Does that count as a hobby? I also love camping, but some members of my family are reluctant campers (I may have gotten us pretty lost once). I like to bake banana muffins when I’m not homeschooling or out on walks.

I clean when I’m anxious and sing off-key when I’m happy.
Becoming a birth worker has brought me a strong sense of peace and assurance, as I feel that I have finally found what I am meant to do. I am eager to nurture your heart, soul, and well-being on your pregnancy and birth journey. It is truly an honor.
